About Shutgun
A sprinkler that goes off by accident, because of a forklift, a ladder or work on the ceiling, keeps spraying water until someone shuts it off. It often takes a long time before the system is shut down centrally, and all that time the water damage keeps growing.
The Shutgun was invented by Eli Scardaoni, a former district chief with the Toronto fire department. Too often he saw how much damage was done while people tried to stop a sprinkler with wedges. His solution is a compact tool that lets you shut off one activated sprinkler head with one hand within seconds. It has a fusible link: in a real fire it melts at 73 °C and the sprinkler works normally again.
The Shutgun is developed and made by Technicraft in Canada. From Enschede we supply the Shutgun to companies in Europe and the Middle East, together with dealers in countries including the Czech Republic, Norway, Oman and Qatar.
Who is it for?
For every company with a sprinkler system: warehouses and logistics, shops and shop renovation, hotels, care facilities, manufacturing, installers and facility managers. Keep a few in fixed places, so there is always one within reach.
